Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders are an American football team in the National Football League (NFL). The Washington Commanders are part of the National Football Conference (NFC) and are in the division of the NFC East. The team is located in the Washington, D.C. area and plays their home games at FedExField in Landover, Maryland.

The Washington Commanders were founded in 1932 as the Boston Braves. The team was renamed to the Redskins in 1933 and moved to Washington, D.C. in 1937. The team was renamed to the Washington Football Team in 2020, and later renamed to the Washington Commanders in 2022.

The Washington Commanders are owned by Daniel Snyder, who bought the team in 1999. The Washington Commanders have won 15 division championships, five league championships as well as three Super Bowls.

This season they will boast one of the best young defenses in the league, featuring defensive ends Chase Young and Montez Sweat. The quarterback leading the way for the Commanders is Carson Wentz, former quarterback for the Eagles and Colts.
