Gillette Stadium is the only privately-financed NFL stadium with 100 percent of the facility, land and parking costs paid for privately and 100 percent of the infrastructure costs reimbursed to the public by the stadium. Located in Foxborough, Mass, Gillette Stadium is the full-time home to the NFL’s New England Patriots and the MLS’ New England Revolution. Opened in 2002, the 65,878-seat stadium is New England’s only outdoor sports and entertainment venue of scale to be built in the last 100 years.
As a sports and entertainment venue, Gillette Stadium is one of the world’s top grossing concert facilities, according to Billboard. The venue annually hosts a diverse variety of other major ticketed events, including international soccer matches, NCAA athletics, professional lacrosse, motor sports and high school football state championships. Among the many global sports events Gillette Stadium has hosted include seven AFC Championship games, the MLS Cup Final, FIFA Women’s World Cup, NHL Winter Classic and Copa América Centenario. Gillette Stadium will welcome soccer fans from around the world for seven matches – including a quarterfinal – as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
